The holidays: They’ll arrive in the blink of an eye. That means the frenetic pace that goes with will ensue in no time, too. With that in mind, pleasant temperatures and smaller crowds – not to mention Christmas events – are compelling reasons to book Orlando vacations in November.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a not-to-be-missed event and parade with marching toy soldiers, magical, horse-drawn sleighs and floats topped with beloved characters. Add in a fireworks display, snowfall-effect along Main Street U.S.A, and Christmas bash that kicks off on select dates starting November 8 and you have a getaway for the ages. But remember: Orlando hotels book up fast.
Nearby, Epcot’s Holidays Around the World is another fête that’s perfect for the fam. Kicking off on November 25, it features a nightly candlelight processional at the America Gardens and a narration of the Christmas story, with rousing orchestral and choir backing. Once you get your fill, you’ll find plenty of other Epcot adventures in store.
While you’re in town, be sure to swing by this year’s installment of Grinchmas at Universal’s Islands of Adventure. Bringing to life the fabled Dr. Seuss tale, the features include a live “How The Grinch Stole Christmas” show set to Mannheim Steamroller tunes, a wacky tree lot, and chance to meet the Grinch. Green and “mean” as ever, he’ll pose for pictures and sign autographs.
