United Airlines is encouraging donations to China earthquake relief efforts by offering 500 frequent-flier miles to Mileage Plus members who
contribute at least $50.
or more to the American
Red Cross, then e-mail your electronic American Red Cross receipt to ChinaRelief-Miles@united.com
along with your Mileage Plus number.
United says it could take six to eight
weeks for the miles to post to your account. The United Airlines Foundation
will distribute a maximum of 5 million miles on a first-come, first-served
basis.
